Developmental and Special Education

Our program is one of the few undergraduate majors in the country that offers dual certification in both general and special education, expertly preparing students to improve outcomes for all children—especially those with disabilities such as autism, ADHD, reading difficulties, and more.

The Ella Baker/Charles Romain Child Development Center

The EB/CR CDC of Medgar Evers College provides both a Pre-School and an Afterschool Program for children in the local community as well as the children of students who attend Medgar Evers College. The EB/CR CDC encourages not just learning, but a love for learning! Students in our Early Childhood Special Education degree program may also have the opportunity to complete field work in the center.
