“THE GREATEST WEALTH IS HEALTH”- Virgil
Each semester the Office of Health Services addresses a wide variety of health-related issues and concerns that affect our students and community. Through college-wide health programs, the Office of Health Services strives to increase the awareness of these health issues and encourage behavior that will support and promote healthy life choices.
The staff is actively involved in health initiatives, health and wellness screening and educational events, blood drives, and health insurance advisement referrals. Workshop and seminar presentations are held on many timely health issues including Hypertension, Obesity, Smoking Cessation, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS and Risk Reduction, Nutrition, and LGBT Cultural Competency.
