AB1 Building will be temporarily offline on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, due to freezing temperatures causing the sprinkler to malfunction resulting in flooding from the third floor to the basement. All classes scheduled in the AB1 Building will be held remotely. All other buildings are open for regular operations. For students enrolled in AB1-building classes who need access for their remote instruction, there are computers available in the computer labs that will enable you to logon to your class.

Open House 2024: No application fees, debut of new online programming

We know that you’ve at least considered Medgar Evers College as you build or reconnect to your collegiate journey.

And we have some breaking news to share:

We have seven new programs that have been approved for online instruction!

We know that your schedule needs infinite flexibility, and this might just be the news that gets you back on the college track.

Those seven programs will be:

  • BS in Business Administration
  • AS in Business Administration
  • BA in Childhood Education
  • BS in Biology
  • AS in Criminal Justice
  • BA in Special Education & Childhood Education
  • BS in Special Education & Early Childhood Education

Have questions? Then join us for Open House on November 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where we will waive all application fees for those that complete the process on the spot.

Yep, no application fees.

CUNY RECONNECT

You might also be looking to reconnect to your collegiate journey, and Medgar has an incredible program in order to get you back on your path.

It’s called CUNY Reconnect.

Through the Reconnect program, Medgar Evers College aims to bring back working-age students (24 or older) who left CUNY without a degree. 

The program will seek to help former students secure degrees or other credentials that will improve their economic mobility and advance the city’s post-pandemic recovery.
