The Office of Financial Aid's core mission is to ensure that all eligible students enrolled at Medgar Evers College apply and benefit from both Federal and State Financial assistance (including grants, loans, and work-study programs) for education beyond high school.

Please include your 8-digit CUNY ID number; Due to high volume, we will do our best to answer all inquiries within 4 to 5 business days. The Office of Financial Aid is now accepting a limited number of on-campus appointments.  To be seen on-campus you must be submitting documents for:  V4, citizenship, selective service, unusual enrollment, other financial documents.  Please use the link https://calendly.com/finaidmec/faappointment to request an appointment, a counselor will confirm once your case is reviewed.

Available Now

The Free Application for Federal  Student Aid (FAFSA) for this 2021 – 2022 Academic Year which covers Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 is available.  You will need 2019 income tax income to complete the FAFSA.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the next 2022 - 2023 Academic Year (Summer 2022, Fall 2022 and Spring 2023) is also now available. Please note some funds are limited, so it’s a good idea to apply as soon as possible. You will need 2020 income tax information to complete the FAFSA.

myStudentAid mobile app

The 2022–23 FAFSA form is also available on the myStudentAid mobile app. Students can download the app on Google Play or the App Store.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR SINGLE SIGN-ON (SSO): 

Click on Activate MEC SSO and follow the instructions.
Enrolled Students: Your SSO Username is your MEC email.
NOTE: All Enrolled MEC students must claim their MEC email first prior to claiming your Single Sign-On, in order to access the system. If you have not already claimed your MEC email, the instruction is provided in the link below:
Please scroll down to the “How do I log in?” section and follow the provided instructions.
Applicants:  you will be prompted to insert your personal email and it becomes your SSO Username.
