Medgar Evers College is proud to offer four academic centers through the School of Professional and Community Development, which enrich the student experience. The different centers focus on advocacy as well as research, and are responsible for major contributions to groundbreaking initiatives and policy changes.

The mission of the Center for Women's Development is to promote the self-actualization of women in pursuit of higher education by providing the direct services and programs of specialized support they need.
Learning Center
The mission of the Learning Center is to assist our students to become independent learners, so they can ultimately use their skills to decipher, appreciate and manipulate related and advanced levels of various subject areas
Writing Center
The goal of the Writing Center is to mold students into writers who are able to articulate original ideas both inside and outside of the classroom. Our tutors serve as writing coaches and are trained to help students improve their writing skills.
