Carroll and Milton Petrie Emergency Fund
The Petrie Grant MetroCard program is now accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis.
This program provides eligible students with MetroCards to offset transportation costs for attending class.
Eligibility Requirements
The applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled for a full-time course load (minimum 12 credits), in-person for the Fall 2025 semester
- Students must be enrolled in in-person classes
- Must be clear of disciplinary status at Medgar Evers College
Important Information
- Please note that MetroCards are limited, and applications will be processed as quickly as possible.
- Students will receive a response regarding their status within 7-10 business days (Monday-Friday). Please keep this timeline in mind when completing your application.
- Applications submitted without the Medgar Evers College student email account will be deemed invalid.
- All correspondence will only be sent to the student MEC email address. For help setting up your account, please visit the Student Email page.
- Enrolled students cannot apply on behalf of another enrolled student.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted, reviewed, and/or processed. Handwritten forms nor hard copy forms will not be accepted.
The terms outlined in this announcement supersede all information previously or otherwise, provided information about the Carroll and Milton Petrie Student Emergency Fund.
