This notice serves as an urgent reminder that the deadline for students to file a SAP appeal for the spring 2024 semester is Friday, January 12th , 2024. An approved SAP appeal may reinstate your federal aid. To complete a SAP appeal please follow the steps below.
It is highly recommended that you complete this task on a desktop or laptop when you have more than 10 mins to dedicate to it.
- Contact your academic advisor for assistance with creating an academic plan (The Advisement Center can be reached at acadvisecenter@mec.cuny.edu or 718-270-5170)
- Login to you CUNYFirst account
- Look for the tab that reads Student Services
- Click on Task and Hold
- Click Verify my FAFSA or Satisfactory Academic Progress
- This will take you to student forms where you will need to create an account or login to your account with a two-step verification.
- Once you are logged in to your account you will see your “TO DO LIST”
- Click on the item you wish to complete. (Note: the SAP appeal has 3 different tasks that must be completed in order to submit your SAP appeal form)
- MAKE SURE YOU CLICK SUBMIT after you have completed all 3 tasks.
