Bio

Donna Hill is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and World Languages. She is the Professional Writing, Senior Thesis and Internship Coordinator for English. In addition, she serves as the Executive Director for the Center for Black Literature at MEC. Prior to arriving at MEC she was an Adjunct Lecturer at Essex County College in New Jersey and at Baruch College/CUNY where she taught composition, African American, Caribbean, American, and Shakespearean Literature and Western Literary Tradition. In her other life, she is a multi-published author with more than one hundred titles in print, across several genres, three of which were adapted for television. She has won numerous awards in recognition of her body of work including the Zora Neale Hurston Award for Literature. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College.
