Convocation 2025 & State of the College Address

What an exciting time of year this is! It’s so great to see our campus bustling with new and continuing students!

I’m thrilled to invite you to join us for the 2025 Freshman Convocation Ceremony and State of the College Address. 

This is a great opportunity for us to collectively welcome the newest members of our Medgar Evers College family. 

Join us for this special celebration: 

• Date: Monday, September 15, 2025 
• Time: 11:30 a.m. (Processional participants will lineup at 11:15 a.m.) 
• Location: Founders Auditorium 

There’s something truly special about this combined ceremony as we officially welcome our first-year students and celebrate our shared accomplishments as a college community. 

Your presence will help to show the warm, supportive environment that we cherish. 

During this meaningful event, we will formally introduce the Class of 2029 to college life, and I will share reflections on our achievements and some new developments that will impact us in the year ahead. 

This is more than just a ceremony, it’s our chance to rekindle the flame that drew us to Medgar Evers College to work, to learn, and to grow together as we advance the college’s social justice mission.
