Anti-Hate Initiative: Jewishness 101

Apr 2 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Hosted by Dr. Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath, EdD, the Senior Director, Knowledge, Ideas and Learning with The Jewish Education Project, this workshop is intended for non-Jewish audiences, this session is a comprehensive overview of Jewish identity, people, history and religion. When one talks about “the Jewish community,” what does that mean? Are we talking about a religion, a culture, a national group – or all of the above? When we talk about the Jewish people, how do we understand the American Jewish community today? This interactive session provides history, culture, and DEI best practices to help understand Jews, Judaism, and Jewishness. It allows for a great deal of Q&A, with no topic off the table. Meant for teens or faculty; standard is one-hour talk + Q&A.

When: April 2, 2024, 1 p.m.

Where: Bedford Building, Room 1008
