CUNY START
Program Overview:
CUNY Start provides students who enter the college with remedial needs a Strong Start. The CUNY Start program is a semester-long alternative for students who enter the college with developmental needs in Reading, Writing, and Math. CUNY Start provides intensive instruction in academic reading/writing, math, and college readiness. We also offer personalized advisement to help students overcome challenges to reach their academic goals. To learn more register for a registration session here or stop by at the CUNY Start Office.
During the Summer session, CUNY Start provides accelerated developmental math classes know as Math Start. The Math Start program is a 6-week program that allows incoming students to address and build their academic skills in mathematics prior to enrolling into math credit-bearing classes in the fall semester.
