Dr. Patricia Ramsey, our president at Medgar Evers College, was called out by name by U.S. Senate Majority Speaker Chuck Schumer and U.S. Minority House Speaker Hakeem Jeffries during the program that was aimed to shape national policy and drive transformation.

Dr. Ramsey’s time in and around Capitol Hill this week was dominated by workshops that tackled the expanding workforce, as well as a fireside chat with U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel A. Cardona and Richard A. Cordray of the U.S. Department of Education Office of Federal Student Aid.

In addition, First Lady Jill Biden was the event’s keynote speaker, with the educator talking during the business roundtable sessions on workforce.
