AB1 Building Reopening: The AB1 Building will reopen on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for all scheduled activities, except for select offices on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. Faculty and staff in affected offices will receive separate instructions. All other areas of the AB-1 building and all other campus buildings will be operational.

U.S. News & World Report Ranks Medgar Evers College Among the Top Public Schools

Medgar Evers College ranks #12-18 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-2023 Top Public Schools List.

The College moved up several positions from last year’s ranking and is among the highest-ranked public colleges and universities in the 2022-2023 rankings. Medgar Evers College also earned a spot in other ranking categories, including national liberal arts colleges and social mobility.

“Students look to Medgar Evers College as an institution of higher education that has their best interest at heart, will help them reach their aspirational goals, and is close to home,“ said Medgar Evers College President Patricia Ramsey. “These rankings support that choice and demonstrate the value of an education at Medgar Evers College.”

#97 in Top Performers on Social Mobility (tie)

#156-201 in National Liberal Arts Colleges
