Pair of Medgar Evers College students interviewed by ABC as they visit Medgar Wiley Evers’ hometown

A pair of Medgar Evers College students were interviewed by WAPT on July 2, the ABC news affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi, as another contingent of Cougars, called the “Medgar Men,” toured the south in celebration of Medgar Wiley Evers’ 100th birthday.

James Viafara, who is the president of the college’s NAACP chapter, and Reshawn Bumbury were both interviewed to chat about the impact of the trip, as well as attending a college that bears the name of Mr. Evers. (Watch above!)

The students remain on their journey, with more coverage coming from students on the trip in the coming days!
