Medgar Evers College would like to congratulate John-Conrad Ste. Marthe and Dr. Earl Simons on completing the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Ste. Marthe completed his fourth New York City Marathon with a time of 6 hours and 41 minutes. While the administrative events manager who is part of the division of Philanthropy and External Relations at Medgar Evers College ran a time slower than the 6 hour and 37 minutes mark he ran in last year’s marathon, the St. Lucian native was happy with this year’s approach.

“This year’s marathon found me running 80 percent of the time with my walking intermittently during the remaining 20 percent of the race,” Ste. Marthe said. “And while it was a slower time, I ran a strategically superior marathon which led to a far less punishing recovery than what I experienced last year.”

Vice President for Philanthropy and External Relations
Dr. Earl Simons, Vice President for Philanthropy and External Relations, completed his third New York City Marathon with a time of 5 hours, 9 minutes and 38 seconds. He ran his last New York City Marathon in 2022, when he posted a 6-hour, 7-minute and 12-second race, shaving nearly an hour off his finishing time. Following a week of celebrating, the medal he received ends up on his medal wall alongside honors he received for completing the Abbott World Marathon Majors in Boston, Chicago, Berlin, London and Tokyo. As part of his marathon runs, Dr. Simons has raised funds to support Spinal Research, Youth Sports, and Youth Health and Wellness Programs in New York City.
