AB1 Building will be temporarily offline on Monday, February 9, 2026, due to freezing temperatures causing the sprinkler to malfunction resulting in flooding from the third floor to the basement. All classes scheduled in the AB1 Building will be held remotely. All other buildings are open for regular operations. For students enrolled in AB1-building classes who need access for their remote instruction, there are computers available in the computer labs that will enable you to logon to your class.

Dr. Ramsey celebrated by CUNY as a Black woman leader in STEM

“Believe in yourself, don’t let others define you and explore your wonderment.”

That’s the advice of Dr. Patricia Ramsey, a well-known biologist and first woman president in the history of Medgar Evers College.

She’s also the first scientist to earn the role and was recently profiled by CUNY as part of its celebration of Black women in STEM.
