The Office of Financial Aid at Medgar Evers College knows there can be plenty of confusion surrounding the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and New York State aid application — so it is using hump day to help you out!

Every Wednesday and select Saturdays, the office is hosting “Get over the hump with FAFSA Wednesdays,” where our experts provide guidance, resources, and support to students and their families as they navigate the process of completing the FAFSA form.

Some of the items that our team can help guide you on are:

• FSA 1D-(student & parent)
• 2022 Federal Income tax Parents taxes for 2024-2025 FAFSA
• 2023 Federal Income tax Parents taxes for 2025-2026 FAFSA
• Records of your untaxed income
• HESC login info
• 2022 New York State taxes for 2024-2025 for State Aid Application which includes (TAP, Excelsior, Jose Peralta Dream Act)
• 2023 New York State taxes for 2025-2026 for State Aid Application which includes (TAP, Excelsior, Jose Peralta Dream Act)
