“It’s an infotainment fair,” she said. “The Black College Expo is an experience. It’s empowering others that they can do and be anything regardless of what the world says, which the people against you or the haters may say. Black College Expo is an experience that will give you resources, information and are actually tangible that you can walk out with and put to use right away. It brings in colleges from all over the globe, Historic Black Colleges and Universities, minority institutions that are looking for students, adult learners and people that want to transfer to college. And they’re also looking for people that want to elevate their lives and give them a space where they can grow, unite, network, and become empowered to become their best selves.”

Admission is free thanks to New York State Senator Kevin S. Parker and Medgar Evers President Patricia Ramsey. Student attendees have a shot at being accepted to schools on the spot which can include having college application fees waived and receiving scholarships on site.
