How to Apply to Medgar Evers College

Submit Your Application

Complete your CUNY application sequence cleanly via the online hub:

1. Start Application

Log into the CUNY portal using a guest profile or your active CUNYfirst ID credentials.

2. CUNY Fast App

NYC Public School Seniors: You can apply faster using the streamlined CUNY Fast App pathway!

3. Choose Your Track

Freshmen can select up to 6 colleges. Transfers can select up to 4 colleges.

4. Review & Submit

Always download your Application Summary. This generates your permanent 8-digit CUNYfirst ID number.

Application Fees

All applications require a non-refundable submission processing fee:

Freshman $65 Fee
Transfer $70 Fee

Pay Online (Preferred)

Submit securely inside the application portal using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, or e-check.

Pay by Mail

Send a money order payable to “CUNY” to the processing vault address below:

⚠️ You must write your 8-digit CUNYfirst ID number on your money order.

Send Your Documents

After finalizing your online submission, you must provide supporting documentation. Transcripts must be sent digitally and directly from your issuing high school or college registrar office to transcripts@cuny.edu to be verified as official.

💡 Pro Tip: You only need to submit one master set of official transcripts to CUNY, even if you applied to multiple CUNY system colleges simultaneously.

Freshman Applicants

Provide official high school transcripts, high school diploma copies, or official HSE/GED test scoring records.

Transfer Applicants

Provide official collegiate transcripts from all prior institutions attended (universities, colleges, community colleges, or proprietary career academies).

International Applicants

Students educated outside the United States should consult our specific international credential submission policy sheets for verification procedures.

Check Your Status

Your application journey does not end at submission! Log back into your **CUNYfirst account** dashboard regularly post-submission. From there, you can trace document processing milestones, add academic recommendation requests, settle dynamic balance dues, and monitor your final admission clearance status.
