Major
Description
The online Associate degree at Medgar Evers College is a two-year program built to give you the “starter kit” for business success. You will learn how businesses run and develop the smart thinking skills that bosses look for today.
This program is designed to help you in two main ways:
- Start Working Fast: It prepares you for “entry-level” jobs (like office coordinator or junior manager) so you can start your career as soon as you graduate.
- The Path to a Bachelor’s Degree: It counts as the first two years of college. Once you finish your Associate degree online, you can move right into a four-year Bachelor’s program (B.S.) in Business or Accounting.
What You Will Learn You’ll take a mix of general classes (like English and Math) and core business classes. We focus on three big things:
- Numbers: Learning how to use data to solve problems.
- Talking & Writing: How to communicate professionally in a business setting.
- Business Basics: An introduction to accounting, economics, and how to manage a company.
