Description

This minor deepens your understanding of how religion influences society and history. You will take foundational courses in comparative religions and philosophical thought, gaining the expertise to analyze complex belief systems and ethical debates across different cultures.

REL 101 – Introduction to the Study of Religion
REL 102 – Survey of Religious Experience
REL 111 – Comparative World Religions I
REL 112 – Comparative World Religions II
REL 211 – History of Religious Thought: The Interfaith Movement
PHIL 201 – Introduction to Ethics and Social Philosophy

AND
Complete at least 2 of the following Courses:

REL 301 – Bible & Hermeneutics
REL 322 – Contemporary Issues in Religious Thought
REL 333 – Peace Education
REL 321 – Buddhism and Hinduism in Eastern Thought
OR REL 340 – History of the Interfaith Movement
