BRC Community Partners

Brooklyn Recovery Corps (BRC) is a paid internship program that provides experiential learning opportunities for MEC students at the sophomore, junior and senior level. The BRC is funded as a part of the NYC Juneteenth Economic Justice Plan, this collaborative program matches BRC interns with non-profit organizations and small businesses in Central Brooklyn to engage in real world, hands-on learning experiences, projects and assignments designed to spur economic recovery and growth in Brooklyn.,

As a part of this “living learning classroom”, the BRC has adopted four emerging themes, that student interns and community partners are asked address:

We invite you to join us as a partner organization for this new program. To be eligible to serve as a host site, agencies must be:

  • A registered non-profit organization or small business with no more than 50 employees
  • Located in Brooklyn, preferably Central Brooklyn
  • Willing to participate in capacity building professional learning opportunities
  • Able to complete progress reports on student performance

If you are interested in being a potential community partner, please complete the Interest Participation Form. The information garnered from the form will allow the program administrators to select eligible community partners and determine the best match and placement for our BRC student interns.
