The mission of the Department of Accounting is to emphasize excellence in accounting education based on a strong foundation in the liberal arts as well as to prepare students for careers in accounting; graduate and profession studies; entrepreneurship; and to serve in leadership roles in their careers and communities.

You’ll learn from dedicated faculty who are experts in political science, administrative law, and management. We don’t just teach theory—we focus on real-world skills. Every student completes a mandatory Internship and a Capstone Seminar during their senior year. Need extra support? Academic Standards
Students in the Department of Accounting are expected to pass the required Accounting Core courses with a grade of “C” or better. For graduation, a student must have a GPA of 2.0.
