Administrative Coordinator / Career Coach
Melissa Isaac, Administrative Coordinator/Career Coach, is a CUNY assistant in the Career Management Office, where Ms. Isaac helps employers recruit students by providing them with support in areas such as Career Interests, Internships, Resumes, Cover Letters, Mock Interviews, Online Presence, and Dressing for Success. With these services, students will bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional workforce. Students will also contribute to advancing the mission of the Career Services Office at Medgar Evers College by excelling in the workforce.
Melissa Isaac has served as an intern at the Career Services Office at Medgar Evers College for 1 year, during which time she was promoted to College Assistant and Career Coach. Ms. Isaac is a certified event and wedding planner, obtaining her Certification from QC Career School in 2023. Ms. Isaac was a second-place recipient at the MEC Elevator Pitch Competition 2020, where she had to present a 90-second pitch to introduce her business’s idea. She has been a Business Coordinator and Human Resources Coordinator at Soul2Soulz, Inc. for over a 1 year. She has been the president of the youth at her Church, located in Flatbush, for 4 years. She worked in youth development for over 10 years. Melissa Isaac has also been a Supplemental Instructor at Medgar Evers College for two years, where she facilitates review sessions for 3-4 students over 120 minutes per week, typically in the late afternoon or evening, for Math. Ms. Isaac actively engages in her community by helping youth with their faith, education, and life.
Melissa Isaac is a soon-to-be graduate of Brooklyn College, where she will obtain her Master’s degree in Business administration. Ms. Isaac graduated with her bachelor’s and Associate degrees from Medgar Evers College, where she was named to the Provost’s and Dean’s lists.
