Loaner Device Availability and Returns

Medgar Evers College has iPads and laptops available for any student who does not have access to a personal computing device off-campus. Please note that quantities are limited, and all devices will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Device distribution will take place on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM in the lobby of the Student Services Building (1637 Bedford Avenue).

Interested students must be enrolled for Winter and/or Spring 2022 courses, and upon arrival, will be asked to provide their first and last name, 8-digit EMPL id number, e-mail address, and telephone number. In addition, a MEC student identification (ID) card or government-issued identification will be required at pickup.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DEVICE RETURNS:

Students who received a loaner device from Student Success (Affairs) and subsequently completed their degree requirements or do not intend on registering (for Spring 2022) must return the device on the aforementioned date (Tuesday, January 4, 2022). Failure to do so will delay receipt of degree and/or prevent the release of transcripts.

Students who have access to a personal computing device are strongly encouraged to reserve the use of loaner devices for students who do not have such access.
