The B.S. in Community Health Education prepares you to become a specialist in health promotion and disease prevention. You’ll gain skills to assess community needs, design effective programs, and advocate for health equity, leading to careers in non-profits, government agencies, and public health.

Description
This program focuses on the intersection of health, culture, and society. Coursework covers Public Health Epidemiology, Health Equity, Program Planning, and Research Methods. Crucially, the degree includes two required Professional Practicums to provide hands-on experience in real-world health settings.

Requirements
The Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education requires the completion of 120 credits across General Education, College Option, and Major Requirements.

- Required Core: ENGL 112, ENGL 150, MTH 115 (MTH 136 is recommended), BIO 101 OR PHS 101
- Flexible Core: One course in each of the five areas (World Cultures and Global Issues, U.S. Experience in Its Diversity, Creative Expression, Individual and Society, Scientific World)
- College Option (12 Credits): Earn at least 12 Elective Credits
