A night with Hakeem Jeffries: Democratic Leader coming to campus

The Center for Black Literature and the Medgar Evers College Cultural Committee are proud to announce that the U.S. House of Representatives Minority Speaker Hakeem Jeffries will be on campus on February 7, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mr. Jeffries will be sitting down for a Q&A session with L. Joy Williams of the Brooklyn NAACP to discuss his new book, β€œThe ABCs of Democracy.”

Joining Jeffries and Williams will be Lurie Daniel Favors, the executive director of the Center for Law & Social Justice at Medgar Evers College.

This is a free event open to students, staff, faculty and the greater community.

The event will be in the Founders Auditorium at 1650 Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn.
