Welcome to the Testing Center at Medgar Evers College. While we are operating remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are available to respond to your questions, (days/time) via Zoom link (check table for appropriate link) or email us at asktesting@mec.cuny.edu.

Mission

To provide and maintain a professional, secure and supportive testing atmosphere conducive to test takers performing at their best ability.

The Center is responsible for implementing CUNY’s testing standards and practices while administering the Ability to Benefit (ATB) test and the CUNY Assessment Test in Writing (CATW) for the University’s ESL applicants who have not demonstrated English proficiency. Other testing services, implemented under the conditions stipulated by the institutions providing the exams, such as the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and others aligned with the college’s mission, are provided to members of the community.

ID Required

A current government issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s or non-driver’s State ID) is required for any test administered at this Testing Center. MEC students may use their MEC ID instead.
