5. ETS Paraprofessional Assessment
The ETS Paraprofessional Assessment is a certification exam that measures basic skills in math, reading, and writing. Many states require a paraprofessional certification in order to be a teaching assistant. It was developed by ETS (Educational Testing Service) as part of their Praxis® testing program. Certification requirements for teaching assistants were established as part of the No Child Left Behind Act and the Every Student Succeeds Act. We work with students to ensure they are well prepared for the test.
Please note: to attend the workshop, you don’t need to be an LTT student. As a MEC student, you are eligible to participate in the workshop. For more information and class schedule, please contact LTT@slu.cuny.edu.
