Department of Multicultural Early Childhood and Childhood Education
Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Childhood Education is a four-year journey that prepares you to teach students from 1st Grade through 6th Grade.
This online program gives you the “best of both worlds.” You will become an expert in a subject you love (like English, Math, Science, or History) while also learning the best ways to teach children from the comfort of your own home. Even though your classes are online, you will still get real-world experience working in local elementary schools near you. By the time you graduate, you’ll be ready to get your New York State teaching license and start your own classroom!
Major
In this major, you aren’t just a student—you are a teacher-in-training. You will start with “Liberal Arts” to learn about the world, and then you will pick a “specialty” (like Math or Science) to master.
