This POWWER! event (Passionate Outstanding Women Who Effortlessly Rock!) was created to highlight extraordinary women who have advanced their fields while serving and shaping their communities.
This year’s POWWER! event is particularly relevant as the College celebrates its 50th anniversary. Ms. Simmons, who recently retired after 34 years at MEC, joins a group of young women enrolled at the College for a conversation focused on her decades-long efforts to impact racial and social justice.
