Medgar CUNY COVID Guidelines: Spring 2023
Medgar Evers College and CUNY remain dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff for the Spring 2023 semester. We adhere to the latest CDC guidelines and New York State and New York City requirements. The College is preparing for a crucial transition to significantly increased in-person instruction and support services for the Spring 23 semester.
The MEC Taskforce has actively worked on a detailed plan for the 2022-2023 Academic program, intending to have up to 60-65% in-person instruction and the return to campus student life, including the resumption of on-campus extracurricular activities. Students’ access to campus resources such as the library, study space, computer or internet access, and counseling services have resumed to the fullest extent possible. Staff members are expected to spend most of their work time in person on campus, per CUNY Flexible Work Guidelines.
Preface
The original plan was submitted and approved by CUNY to ensure the reopening plan met all of CUNY’s guidelines. The plan was implemented but has evolved as necessary based on updated public health and government authorities guidance. Amendments to the original and revised plan will be implemented in Spring 2023.
