DESCRIPTION:Medgar Evers College is excited to announce that our new food service provider\, HBar Holdings\, LLC (HBar)\, will officially begin serving the campus next week! \nStarting Tuesday\, November 5\, 2024\, HBar will hold a Grand Opening in our Dining Hall from noon to 4:00 p.m.\, with free food\, coffee samples\, and prizes. \nWe will also celebrate with an event on Election Night in the Bedford Café. \nThis opening marks the beginning of hot\, fresh meals cooked right on campus for our community. \nFounded in 2019 by a dynamic mother-daughter duo\, HBar has catered to prominent clients like the NYC Board of Education and the U.S. Army. With the expertise of catering giants Samantha Polis and Andrew Walcott of Fusion East\, HBar is bringing their talents to Medgar Evers College. \nIf you plan to use HBar for catered events\, please note the following procedures: \n\nContact HBar for menus and proposals (breakfast/lunch/dinner).\nA Purchase Order from MEC’s Purchasing Office or the CUNY Research Foundation is required to proceed with catering.\nSubmit the proposed menu and pricing through the CUNYBuy Procurement system.\nAttach the quote and event flyer to your purchase requisition at least seven business days in advance.\nThe vendor needs 48 hours for preparation\, built into the Purchasing Office’s 7-day lead time.\n\nLet us give HBar a warm welcome by following these guidelines to ensure smooth operations for everyone. \nWe look forward to seeing you at the Grand Opening and sampling some delicious meals.
