May 8, 2022 at 10:30 am - 11:00 am

MEC TV Education & Perspectives presents The Karnak Temple Revisited
On Sunday, May 8, at 10:30 am, catch a rebroadcast of Historian and Educator Dr. Clinton Crawford’s majestic journey through the Karnak Temple in Luxor, Egypt.
Considered the most mystifying and largest temple complex in the world, the Karnak Temple took two thousand years to complete leaving it to be always marveled at and never replicated by future generations.
Through an interdisciplinary approach from anthropology to theology, Dr. Crawford brings an immortal dynasty back to life.
The Karnak Temple Revisited highlights include the majestic Hypostyle Hall built by Seti I and his son Ramesses the Great, the Double Obelisks built by Queen Hatshepsut (one of Egypt’s female pharaohs), the Avenue of the Ram-headed Sphinxes, the Jubilee Chapel of Thutmosis III and more.
Dr. Crawford is the chair of the Department of Mass Communications, Creative, Performing Arts, and Speech. He is also the author of Recasting Ancient Egypt in the African Context, 1996, and a professor at Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York. He teaches the History of African Art, the History of World Art, and other courses about African civilizations. He has traveled to many countries on the African continent.
