The Founding of Medgar Evers College: A Conversation with Faculty and Staff

The Founding of Medgar Evers College: A Conversation with Faculty and Staff is a panel discussion about the early years of the College and the creating of a campus community. Faculty and staff will reflect on the early struggles and accomplishments, along with highlighting the people who were at the College. Archival footage created by early staff and students which is housed in the Charles Evans Inniss Memorial Library will also be screened.
PRESENTERS:
- Dr. Doris Withers – Professor Emerita (Department of Biology)
- Mr. Richard Green – Community Development Program for the last forty years at Crown Heights Youth Collective. Former MEC adjunct lecturer who taught history.
- Dr. Brenda Greene – Professor (Department of English) and Executive Director of Center for Black Literature
