Latina/o/x as Stewards of the NYC Urban Environment

Please join the Medgar Evers College Cultural Affairs Observance Committee as they celebrate and commemorate the contributions and achievements of the Latina/o/x Community. Programs during the month, we will celebrate and highlight the community’s contributions, resilience, and diversity.
Our first event of the series is Latina/o/x as Stewards of the NYC Urban Environment. Participants: Iris Rodrigues-Rosa, First Deputy Commissioner of NYC Parks Department; Dr. Jose Morales, Founder of the Toxic Avengers; Cindy Zapata, Field Associate for NYC Parks; Harry Aguilar, NYC Urban Park Ranger; and Hennessy Garcia, MEC Environmental Science Student; Nancy Ortiz-Surun, co-founder of Finca del Sur, creative educator, and farmer/gardener.
