About the Guest
Meet performance artist, poetic activist, author, motivational speaker, and mother, Empress Poetry. Barbados-born and Brooklyn-bred, she credits her diverse culture to her success and creativity. Empress Poetry has authored several literary works such as Impressions of a Poet, Footnotes of My Journey, and Water into Wine: A Part of the Journey. She is also the producer of a monthly spoken word event at the Inkwell Jazz and Comedy Club in Brooklyn. Additionally, she is the co-host of the online Radio Poetry show Spiritually Powered Inspirational Thoughts (S.P.I.T.) She recently completed her first novel, Good Trouble, in December 2020.
