Cannabis Education Showcase
Jun 3
Medgar Evers College’s Chemistry and Environmental Science department will host its second Annual Cannabis Education Showcase. The CES department will turn the Bedford Building Quad into a classic neighborhood showcase event highlighting education and career opportunities in the NY cannabis space while celebrating the rich diversity of the Brooklyn, New York community.
Introduced during the fall 2021 semester, the MEC Cannabis Minor Degree Program is available to students across CUNY’s 25 campuses through four tracts: Formulation and Testing, Cultivation, Health, and Commercialization. Exemplifying its core mission to provide educational workforce development and opportunities for economic expansion, MEC’s cannabis minor features the skill-building instructional support needed to foster new cannabis leaders. Central to the core mission of the Cannabis education program at MEC is research to address pertinent knowledge gaps in the emerging cannabis industry.
The Cannabis Education Showcase will bring together industry leaders, influencers, and drivers for open dialogue with the community. This event will serve as a recruitment event, community research tool, knowledge-generating, and knowledge-sharing platform.
