As a Finance minor, you’ll explore topics such as financial markets, investments, and corporate finance while learning how to analyze data and evaluate business performance. This program strengthens your critical thinking and decision-making skills, preparing you to navigate real-world financial challenges. Whether you’re planning a career in banking, business management, or entrepreneurship, a background in finance will give you a valuable edge in any field.

Students are encouraged to seek academic advisement prior to registration to ensure proper course sequencing.

Minor

Requirements

Prerequisite: MTH 141 – Finite Mathematics, ECON 212 – Introduction to Macroeconomics, ECON 213 – Introduction to Microeconomic

Requirements: A minimum of 12 credits as follows

  • ACCT 217 – Principles of Accounting I
  • FIN 250 – Introduction to Business Finance

To complete the minor, students must also earn at least 6 elective credits approved through departmental advisement.
