STUDY ABROAD 2009 PROGRAM: PARIS

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAM
- You must have a 2.7 GPA.
- You must have taken two semesters of beginner French or
have the equivalent level. - You must not have any stops on your record.
- You must be a student in good standing at Medgar Evers College and/or your home campus.
IMPORTANT PASSPORT AND VISA INFORMATION
Valid passports are required. If you are a US citizen you don’t need a visa to travel to France. If you have another nationality, a visa may be required. All visas are your responsibility. Check the French consulate website to find out if you need a visa.
This program is eligible for STOCS – Study and Travel Opportunities for CUNY Students
In order to qualify for a STOCS grant you must be US citizen or permanent resident of the US. Your
household income cannot exceed $75,000 a year and may not have received a STOCS grant previously. A STOCS
grant ranges from $750 to $1,500. Please note that, if accepted in the Program, you need to fill out the
first part of the STOCS grant application by March 6, 2009.
FAFSA APPLICATION All applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We strongly
encourage students to fill out the application through the
U.S. Department of Education FAFSA website.
