Black History Month Celebration Honoring Nana Camille Yarbrough
The Center for Black Literature in partnership with AKIlA WORKSONGS will host a tribute to Nana Camille Yarbrough in recognition of the 30th Anniversary of her landmark book, Cornrows, A Coretta Scott King award winner. Known as a “hip hop foremother”, she is a community activist, writer, teacher, actress, composer, singer, dancer, radio talk show host, and lecturer.
