National League of Nursing Examination

We will be accepting applications Monday, September 8th - Wednesday, September 10th from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  1. To take the National League of Nursing Exam (NLN) for the Certificate/PN Program:
    • Students must pass all CUNY Basic Skills in Reading, Writing and Math.
    • Students must have a “B‐ “ or better grade in all science courses (BIO 104 & BIOL 104, BIO 150 & 151 or 251) and a “C” or better grade in English 112.
    • Students who have taken Biology 152, 252 prior to the NLN, must have a “B‐“ grade or better.
    • Required Science courses cannot be more than five (5) years old, no exceptions.
    • Cumulative Grade Point Average must be 2.7 or higher.
    • All Transfer Students must submit copies of all previous Institution/College(s) transcripts.
    • Students must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or have Valid F-1 International Student status.

  1. Required Documents (All documents must be copied and submitted at the time of application, no exceptions):
    • One (1) Passport size photograph
    • Examination Fee of $55.00 cash
      • Payable at the Bursar’s Office, S-308, receipt of payment is required for application.  As the exam fee is Non-Refundable, students must meet with in the Mrs. Dulcie McPhatter-Clayton to review their eligibility to take the exam.
    • A copy of Health Insurance card back and front (Not Immunization Card).

  1. Residency Documents (Students must provide a copy of one of the following):
    • US Citizenship (Naturalization Certificate, Valid U.S. Passport, Birth Certificate)
    • Permanent Residency (Green Card)
    • International Students valid F-1 Status

NOTE:  Applications will not be accepted after 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 11th, no exceptions. All students must be currently enrolled and their records be activated.
