Registration and Policies

The Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) Department at Medgar Evers College (MEC) adheres to all MEC and CUNY public safety protocols, academic rules and regulations. Please see below for policies specific to ACE.

Registration Options

  1. Online Registration: Register online with a debit or credit card by clicking here.
  2. Call us at 718.804.8850. Register by phone with Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Card or American Express.
  3. By appointment or walk in to our offices.  Register in person with a credit, debit card or money order.  We are located at 1534 Bedford Avenue, 2nd Floor, off the corner of Eastern Parkway.

Walk ins are welcome between the hours of 10am-6pm, Mondays through Fridays. Appointments are most appreciated. 
 
We are located near the Franklin Ave. Subway (2,3,4,5,S) and B49 bus.
 
Total tuition fee must be paid at time of registration.

Refund Policy

A 100% refund will be given if ACE cancels a class, or if a written request is received 2 business days before the 1st class meeting.  A 50% refund will be given if a written request is received at least 2 business days before the 2nd class meeting.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing. No refunds will be issued after the 2nd class meeting.

Credit/debit card refunds will be processed in approx. 3-5 business days. Money order refunds will be processed within 4-6 weeks via check (no cash refunds).

No refunds will be granted for courses that meet for 1 or 2 sessions unless a written request is received 3 days before the 1st class.

Transcripts and Letters of Attendance

To obtain a transcript or letter confirming attendance, write or fax using the address and fax # at the top of this page. The fee is $5/transcript or letter. We reserve the right to withhold information regarding the record of any student who owes money to the College.

Certificates of successful completion are issued to all students who satisfactorily complete the Certificate Program and are mailed within 3 weeks after course completion. Certificates may be withheld pending receipt of all outstanding tuition and fees.

A $10 fee will be charged to reissue certificates, completion letters, and transcripts.

Mondays through Thursdays, 9a- 6p.
Fridays, 9a- 5p
Saturdays, 930a–13p.

Planned School Closures

Due to holidays and other observances no classes will be held on:

July 4, 2014

In the event of an unforeseen incident or as a result of inclement weather; ACE will contact all of its students via email and/or telephone.

Course Cancellations

Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) courses are subject to a minimum enrollment to run. 

ACE reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its established minimum enrollment. If ACE cancels a course, students may transfer to another class or receive a full refund (100%).

Tuition Discounts

Tuition discounts of 20% are available for select courses more than $100 to MEC and CUNY students, faculty and staff with a current valid ID, and senior citizens over 62, with the exception of online and third-party courses.

Discounts cannot be combined. We also accept voucher payments
