- The Gilbert Rivera Scholarship
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Must currently reside in New York
- Be enrolled FULL-TIME at Medgar Evers College, CUNY during the 2009-2010 academic year.
- Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
- The Executive Board Scholarship
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Be enrolled FULL-TIME at Medgar Evers College, CUNY during the 2009-2010 academic year.

- Moet Hennessy Presidentital Scholarship
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Have at least a 1240 combined math and critical reading SAT score or 28 ACT composite score
- Be enrolled FULL-TIME at Medgar Evers College, CUNY during the 2009-2010 academic year in the BA or BS program
- Be enrolled in and complete a minimum of 15 credits per term.
- Maintain a 3.45 grade point average
- Complete two paid summer internships by the junior year

Program Descriptions
The Medgar Evers College Educational Foundation and The Gilbert Rivera Charitable Foundation have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding undergraduate students who reside in the state of New York. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of application. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate a high level of community involvement.
Award amounts generally range from $500 to $1,500.

Program Descriptions
The Presidential Scholarships are Medgar Evers College’s most distinguished academic awards, recognizing scholastic achievement, demonstrated leadership and unique personal qualities. Presidential Scholarships are awarded annually to the College’s brightest incoming freshmen. Every aspect of the application is important. The Executive Board of the MEC Educational Foundation considers many factors: academic performance, SAT I or ACT scores, volunteer service, extracurricular involvement, and writing ability and creativity as demonstrated in the scholarship essays.
Up to 4 incoming freshmen will be awarded Presidential Scholarships. Each award is $25,000, which will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment, etc. and is renewable for up to 8 semesters on the condition of continued exceptional academic standing.
