ENVS 401-050 Groundwater
Instructor:
Office hours: By appointment
Class Objective: Students will understand the different flow conditions under which various equations are derived in calculating different flow parameters. Study the quantitative and qualitative aspects of groundwater flow. Will study groundwater transport models and the utilization of groundwater as a resource.
Grading: Students’ Final Grade will be based on the following:
WQ = 10 Weekly quiz for a total of 15 % overall grade
FP = Final Paper 20 % overall grade
MT = Mid-term 20 % overall grade
F = Finals 40 % overall grade
CP = Class participation 5% overall grade
Final Grade = 0.15WQ + 0.2FP + 0.25MT + 0.40F + 0.05CP
REPORTS:
The Final Paper is a literature research on a topic of your choice in groundwater as a resource in arid places and the length should be between 3 –5 pages and emailed to me on or before 05/08/06.
