Administrative Computing Services (ACSC)
Administrative Computing Services is responsible for supporting the mission critical administrative information processing needs of Medgar Evers College. ACSC is responsible for the administrative computer system for student and financial records and web-based services including eSims and web-based Registration. Administrative Computing is also responsible for the IT infrastructure for all campuses; University e-mail; provides technical support for the University website, intranet and Library system.
ACSC performs the following functions in supporting MEC administrative applications:
- User consultation and project analysis to define administrative needs
- Application system design
- Database design
- Application development and testing
- Application problem identification and resolution
- Application systems performance monitoring and tuning
- Computer server
- Services monitoring
- Status reporting
- Administrative systems user assistance
- User Support Services (Helpdesk)
