The fund group, Auxiliary Enterprises, at times referred to as Auxiliary Services, is best defined as a combination of auxiliary enterprises in which each one is an entity that exists to furnish a service directly or indirectly to students, faculty, or staff, and charges a fee directly related to, but not necessarily equal to, the cost of the service.
The mission of Auxiliary Services is to support the academic and administrative goals of The Medgar Evers College by ensuring effective administration and support services of the College Bookstore, Food Services (Cafeteria), Vending Services, Stock Room (Receiving and Deliveries), Copier services, Reprographics (copy, printing, and associated services) and Mail Services. These services support a living and learning environment fostering personal, professional and academic growth for the MEC community by providing quality goods and services, convenient locations, exceptional customer service and the lowest prices possible to the students, faculty, staff and guests of the college. It is the goal of all the auxiliary service units to serve the needs of the campus while recovering all costs associated with the operations by charging for the services provided. Auxiliary Services continually strives to successfully meet the needs and expectations of the MEC community. Auxiliary Services is committed to fostering an environment that promotes diversity and ethical professional standards throughout the Ancillary Enterprises at the College.
