The Center welcomes suggestions for research topics on the Caribbean Diaspora worldwide, as well as manuscripts for publication in its referred journal.

Research findings are published either through the Caribbean Diaspora Press Inc or Wadabagei – A Journal of the Caribbean and its Diasporas.
 

Principal research interests:
  • Demographics: Ongoing study of the Caribbean presence in the USA, its characteristics and distribution in major cities studies focusing on family life, socialization, health, business sector, remittances, justice system, and politics.
  • Social and Economic Issues: Collaborative studies focusing on family life, socialization, health, business sector, remittances, justice system, and politics.
  • Educational and Cultural Issues:  Transition, placement, adjustment, language and academic performance in public schools;  documentation of cultural dynamics of the Caribbean immigrant community.
  • Documentation:  Photographic and videographic documentation of community organizations and personalities and their activities
  •  Oral History:  Ongoing documentation of immigrant experiences of senior citizens, leaders and success stories.
