The Center for Black Literature disseminates program information, mainly through its published proceedings, newsletters, radio programs, web site, list-serve, workshops, and author series. It also hosts the National Black Writers Conference (NBWC).

The Center has developed a network of audiences via the Internet to link literary groups, particularly black literary organizations, booksellers, and book clubs in order to provide them with information about the Center's programs. That network is both national and international in scope.
