Volleyball WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Slower Start Than Usual

The Lady Cougars are looking to make leaps and bounds this year as the 2005 Volleyball Season unfolds. The team is currently in a rebuilding stage, having graduated several key contributors. L. Maria O'Neal, Marsha Clarke and S. Tammy Chase - to name a few - are no longer there to aid the Lady Cougars, and Coach Avril O'Neal is looking to a host of fresh faces to fill their positions.

Thus far in the season, the Lady Cougars have played 12 matches, but are yet to return home with a win. As a group of young, inexperienced ladies, Coach Avril's biggest hope for the season is that the ladies perfect the basics of the game and learn to play together - two neccesities to gain those coveted wins.

Returning for the Lady Cougars are Sophomores OH Katrina Lowe (St. James Secondary, Barbados), MH Malissa Douglass (Prospect Heights, Brooklyn NY) and OH Renée Spence (South Shore, Brooklyn NY). Fresh faces to the squad include Shekkiah Harris, Deborah Young, Dacia Casey and Crystal Kirby.
